But Jesus stayed.

But Jesus stayed…”

Have you ever started something & wanted to give up?

Have you ever questioned God’s audible voice?

You thought it was Him but the task at hand seems harder [if not impossible] to continue, or even more, complete…

But wasn’t Jesus in the same predicament that we [at times] find ourselves in?

He had a task to complete; a purpose for His life, and not only did He help people along the way, He continued going even when He wanted to give up! “Yet not My will, but Yours…” [Luke 22:42]

What an encouragement from our loving God!

When you feel yourself wanting to give up on that dream God revealed / that calling that He spoke / your child who seems so far away from God / that job position that makes you want to quit / that friend who’s touched your last nerve / praying; whatever it is that you need from our miraculous, living God; remember this,

“But Jesus stayed…”

He stayed the course.
He stayed the path.

AND if the Saviour of the World can do it, then in His grace & strength, so can we!!!

“Yet not my will, BUT Yours Lord!”
Amen. Amen. Amen.

“You’re blessed when you stay on course,
walking steadily on the road revealed by God.
You’re blessed when you follow His directions,
doing your best to find Him.
That’s right – you don’t go off on your own;
you walk straight along the road He set.
You, God, prescribed the right way to live;
now You expect us to live it.
Oh, that my steps might be steady,
keeping to the course You set;
Then I’d never have any regrets
in comparing my life with Your counsel.
I thank You for speaking straight from Your heart;
I learn the pattern of Your righteous ways.
I’m going to do what You tell me to do;
don’t ever walk off and leave me…
Be generous with me and I’ll live a full life;
not for a minute will I take my eyes off Your road.
Open my eyes so I can see
what You show me of Your miracle-wonders.
I’m a stranger in these parts;
give me clear directions…”
[Psalm 119:1-8, 17-19, The Message]
